Post-Care & Growing On

Keep consistently moist. Sow when soil is reliably warm (fall or early spring, depending on climate). Germination is typically quick, within 1-2 weeks. This species tolerates both saline and waterlogged soils better than many clovers. Its high growing point makes it poorly suited to regular grazing — it's better used for cutting (hay/green manure) or grazed only as a way to terminate the crop. Dual inoculation with Rhizobium and mycorrhizal fungi has been shown to meaningfully boost yield and nutrient content if available.
