How We Test Our Seed
Every batch we sell is tested for germination before it's dispatched, so you're never getting seed we haven't checked ourselves. Test results and typical germination rates for each species are shown on the product page's Germination Guide.
Why We Don't Promise a Fixed Percentage
Germination depends on more than the seed itself — storage conditions after it leaves us, sowing depth, soil, temperature, humidity, and watering all genuinely affect the outcome, and these are outside our control once your order arrives. Because of that, we don't guarantee a specific germination percentage on your end. What we do guarantee is that the seed you receive was tested and met our internal quality standard before it shipped.
Each product's Germination Guide gives you our best, researched guidance for that specific species — pre-treatment, sowing depth, timing, and common pitfalls — because getting those details right makes a much bigger difference to your results than anything else.
If a Batch Seems Wrong
If you believe you received a genuinely defective or mislabelled batch — not a case of germination conditions, but seed that appears to be the wrong species, contaminated, or visibly compromised — contact us:
Email support@seedscart.in with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the seed as received
- A brief description of what looks wrong
We'll review it and make it right — replacement or refund, our call based on what happened, not a rigid form process.
Getting the Best Results
The single biggest factor in germination success is usually following the specific guidance for that species, not the seed itself. Check the Germination Guide on each product page before sowing — many species have real, specific requirements (cold stratification, scarification, exact sowing depth, temperature) that make the difference between success and failure.
