Pre-Treatment

Fresh seed needs no pre-treatment at all — just sow it directly. If seed isn't fresh, soak it overnight in hot water and sow immediately afterward. Pre-Germination Prep

Use a well-drained, loamy mix, slightly acidic to neutral pH. As a legume, Rhizobium inoculation helps where this species isn't already established locally, though naturalized populations usually have the right bacteria present in the soil already.
